Friday is for fun, play and relax, right? So in the spirit of Friday mood, I want to show you two projects triggering the curiosity of a user, spotted during the Milan’s Design Week, that have left me speechless and just omg-so-amazed!
Important notice: you have to watch the videos!
The Moti lamp, or as I call it ‘the breathing lamp’ designed by Dutch Studio Toer, reflects the atmosphere through it’s movement (I told you, it’s alive!) “When it’s quiet and peaceful, Moti moves around slowly. A more active setting results in a more expressive behavior. A sudden noise makes Moti shiver.” And when you switch it off, it goes to sleep with you. Isn’t it the most adorable lamp, you have ever seen?
The Daily poetry collection created by Dutch designer – Ingrid Hulskamp makes us play, like a child again, caught up in the moment. These incredibly elegant objects, are hand-blown glass, with water and colored pigments. When spinning the object gently or moving it up and down, the pigments inside rise up and transform magically through the movement.
“We are never more fully alive, more completely ourselves, or more deeply engrossed in anything, than when we are at play.” Charles Schaefer. I totally agree, both projects have stolen my entire attention and heart, without a doubt.
How do you feel after watching the videos? Playful and relaxed?
