Today I want to talk to you about something that has been on my mind lately – textures!
Have you ever wondered what makes the mountain houses so cozy? Or the industrial lofts so edgy? Italian restaurants so approachable? Moody shoots so dramatic? The secret is in the walls. It’s what usually brings interior design to enviable levels and makes a room pop, and I’m sure we all notice that looking at the photos of beautiful interiors. What we might miss, is that not everything is what it seems – it’s surprising how many indoor textures are actually… wallpapers.
Concrete walls, marble panels are often very expensive to install, not to mention renovate when the new trend comes along but there is an alternative way to get the look for less. I have to be honest here – I have never been fully convinced you can get a nice result with a texture wallpapers, however I’ve been proved wrong – one is not equal to another and surely they can’t be lumped together. Recently I have discovered Mural Wallpapers which you would never believe are a wallpaper, unless you touch them. The quality combined with realistic looks makes them a stylists’ and decorators’ heaven!
I have rounded up 7 of my textured choices and examples of how they can be used for a little inspiration. My tip would be to use them for the accent walls, less is always more dear friends.
Which one caught your eye the most?
Check out Murals Wallpaper page and discover hundreds of different possibilities (including custom options). The choice is huge so I’m pretty sure, everyone can find something for themselves. It’s always good to have some creative options don’t you think? Especially if you are renting or not sure you want this effect for a long-term period.
Have a great day guys!
